Alastair MacBeath Wins $315,000

Backgammon tournament was held at Strawberry Hill Hotel and Spa in Irish Town, St Andrew, Jamaica last weekend. Alastair MacBeath, who was runner-up in last year’s annual tournament, outplayed William Mahfood in the final round and won the tournament.

Alastair grabbed top prize of $315,000 in cash. Also,  MacBeath was awarded the Dickie Jobson award.

True Money Games Will Sponsor “4th Portuguese Open”

True Money Games will become official sponsor of The European Backgammon Tour EBGT in Portugal in May 2009. Portuguese stage of backgammon tournament will take place from 14th till 17th of May. Other confirmed destinations of the tour are France, Italy and Georgia.

Online qualifiers for this tournament will be held only at True Money Games. Winners of qualifiers will be provided with VIP packages to TMG Portugese Open.

The European Backgammon Tour is organized by the World Backgammon Association.
